Sea front business meeting

Tomorrow I will be doing a presentation with Andrew on Web 2.0 & Localization. I live in Europe and he lives in San Francisco so there is relatively little time where we could work together in any day. For the last few weeks it has been very difficult to get a time when he was free to work on the presentation. Today, I found out why. He gave an excellent presentation on WorldServer 9 this afternoon that must have taken considerable time to prepare.
As Chase mentioned earlier he used characters such as Larry Marketeer. Using these characters he went through many of the features released in version 9 and for each feature had a short animation illustrating how this worked. It gave us all a great feel for some of the new functionality being released.
I also presented today. Arturo Quintero of Moravia Worldwide and I gave a joint presentation called ‘Where strategies meet’. This looked at why companies such as Moravia and Idiom work together. In the presentation I had a slide which showed some of the work we do with other LSPs. Arturo mentioned that one of the things he like about the Idiom LSP program was the quality of the other LSPs who work with us.
Earlier in the day Arturo and I had been going over the presentation. We did this outside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Very pleasant. This was my first sea front business meeting and I followed it up with another one later in the day when Yan and I was met with Christian from Matrix. I could get to like this.
